KOVOHUTY Doln\u00fd Kub\u00edn s.r.o. as a major manufacturer of<\/span> ferro silicon powders in Europe, in line with its Quality Policy, supports the intention of<\/span> Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act on Financial Market Reform and Consumer Protection.<\/span><\/p>\n

The purpose of this section of the law is to publish and report on the use of minerals <\/span>(collectively \u201cConflict Minerals\u201d) from the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjacent areas. The regulation <\/span>covers minerals and metals of:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • gold<\/span><\/li>\n
  • tin<\/span><\/li>\n
  • volfr\u00e1mtungsten <\/span><\/li>\n
  • tantalum<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n


    KOVOHUTY Doln\u00fd Kub\u00edn s.r.o. hereby undertakes:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    1.<\/span> Obtain a statement from its suppliers, stating whether the products supplied <\/span>ontain conflict minerals: tin, tantalum, tungsten or gold.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2.<\/span> Require the suppliers to avoid the use of conflicting minerals <\/span>o produce their products.<\/span><\/p>\n

    3.<\/span> Regularly<\/span> re-evaluate<\/span> approved<\/span> suppliers of<\/span> goods<\/span> to update<\/span> the use<\/span> of conflict<\/span> minerals and their origin<\/span><\/p>\n

    4.<\/span> If products are found to contain conflict materials originating from problem areas <\/span> , the company will request remedies from the supplier. In the absence of remedy, the company will seek <\/span>o use other products or will be committed to changing the supplier.<\/span><\/p>\n

    5.<\/span> Make this statement available on the company’s website for transparency.<\/span><\/p>\n
