Spoločnosť KOVOHUTY Dolný Kubín, s.r.o. bola založená v roku 1996 v bývalom areály spoločnosti ZVL-PM Dolný Kubín, ktorá mala dlhoročnú tradíciu vo výrobe ferozliatinových práškov a neželezných práškov. Začiatok výroby sa datuje do päťdesiatych rokov 20. storočia. Po odkúpení budov a zariadení v tejto tradícii pokračuje.
